Dawn Bibby/Craft Buddy Lantern Tutorial

The finished project
Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine.  Sitting here writing this, I should really be working, but will catch up shortly.  Price Drop curently on with Charlie on Hochanda.  Always a bargain to be had here.  Its been a busy time here. Friday I was at the Excel Centre with Crystal Art helping Gary with the make and takes.  Was lovely to meet lots of people.  Had a lovely day.  Next Saturday I'm off on a distress ink course at That's Crafty.  Looking forward to that.  Its been a while since I blogged and thought I'd best start posting tutorials like I do on my Hochanda Blog Ambassador Slot.  This time its for a lantern made out of MDF, brilliant these are as with it now the time of the year to sit out in the garden, you can put battery operated fairy lights in them or LED candles.  If you leave them outside overnight you will need to pain them first with a suitable sealant.

Hope you like this.  For this project you will need:
MDF lantern.
Dawn Bibby's pink poppy box.
Hot glue or silicone glue.
Resin flowers.

Stage 1: Build your lantern using the instructions provided in the box.
Stage 2: Decide if you would like to seal the lantern or have it open like this so you can take things in and out.
Stage 3: Add your flowers and embellishments
Hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project.  Here are the links for the products used:

See you next time xx

Mixed Media - a new direction - a very good place to be!

Good morning all.  Time for a blog update I think.  So much has been happening in my crafty corner that I thought I'd better update you all.

My big announcement - the main reason for this blog not being updated is that I am now blogging for Hochanda.  If you would like to follow my adventures over there please do so.  I write a blog a week for them which includes tutorials.  Here is the link where you will find my tutorials so far which have included a birthday card using Dawn Bibby and Craft Buddy products, a birthday card using Crafter's Companion products and I have blogs coming up for an MDF Heart.  Hochanda Blog.  It is a reall honour being part of the Hochanda family and I am so excited about what it will bring to my life.

Anyway, whilst on the subject of change, those of you who follow my facebook page will notice there has been a lot of changes in my crafting as of late and I'm getting very excited about my other new big adventure.  Once I dipped my toe in last November there has been no going back.  I would especially like to thank Dawn Bibby, Dino & Gary for their encouragement and ongoing support whilst I have been learning new ways to craft.  I can honestly say I've enjoyed every minute and cannot wait to see what 2018 brings for me in the way of crafting.  As you know I am on the Crystal Art Project Test & Design Team and there have been a very busy few months and an amazing 2018 ahead on that front.  Craft Buddy and Dawn Bibby have recently celebrated a year anniversary of their collaboration.  I do not know where the time has gone.  Dawn has an amazing Poppy Embellishment Box on Hochanda this weekend, it is a truly amazing box, those of you who want to give mixed media  a try this is the perfect way to start as you have everything you need in the box.  Click here to order Poppy Embellishment Box.  It is just amazing.  Everything you need to get started.  Don't forget to have a look at Dawn Bibby's website for some other amazing items you may wish to order.  Dawn Bibby Creations.
